Optional Features and Accessories:

Light Upgrade
To increases intensity of actinic light up to 2,500 µmol(photon)/m2.s (according to the color version - see the table).

Turbidostat
Peristaltic pump and controller to stabilize suspension optical density.

Peristaltic Pump
To be used for chemostat steady-state cultures to introduce medium into the vessel at appropriate flow or to pump samples.

PWM Gas Pump
Pump for controlled gas flow. Supports closed loop gas circulation. Can be also used for mixing in anaerobic cultivations.

O2 / H2 Electrode
To measure concentration of dissolved gases.

CO2 Electrode
To determine the dissolved carbon dioxide concentration in the medium. This gas sensing electrode consists of a pH electrode immersed in an electrolyte solution which is separated from the measuring solution by a gas sensitive membrane.

pH Electrode
To measure pH and temperature.

Bubble Interruption Valve
To interrupt the bubble stirring during single measurements - for more precise results.

Magnetic Stirrer
The magnetic stirrer rotates a teflon-coated magnetic bar in a vertical plane of the front window inside the Photobioreactor. The frequency of the rotation is adjustable. The stirrer is essential when the agitation by air or gas bubbles cannot be used, e.g., when the photosynthetic oxygen evolution or respiratory oxygen uptake are measured. It can be also used to reduce cell sedimentation in addition to agitation by air or other gas bubbles.

Air Pump
To supplement the Bubble Interruption Unit.

Bubble Humidifier
To keep the vessel volume stable.

Air-Blow Unit for Optical
To prevent moisture condensation on the vessel surface (in place where the optical measurements are taken). Includes the air pump, connector and tubing.

Additional Light Source
To accommodate specific needs of different organisms, e.g. , 850 nm Infra Red Light Source for purple sulfur photosynthetic bacteria (other wavelengths also available).

Standard Supplementary Vessel
Suitable for cultivation in the range of 18 - 50 °C. Made from stainless steel and glass. Supplementary glass part includes just the glass body (not the frame, bottom, or cover).

Enhanced Vessel
Suitable for cultivation in the range of 0 - 70 °C. Made from copper covered with a ceramic layer.

High-Precision Gas Mixing System
High-precision gas mixer can hold up to four channels. The standard version of the system includes two channels: Channel 1 serves Air-N2; Channel 2 serves CO2.

Shelf Unit
Heavy duty shelf unit can accommodate and organize the Photobioreactor with all necessary accessories.

Control Software
Includes a PC with software for data collection and data visualization and also for remote control of the device via internet. The software enables: Data collection in real time; Data upload for processing even when the experiment is running (in Excel accessible format; Data visualization in graphs; Remote control via internet.

Addional Software License
